Story and photos by Mark Wing
Our club was invited to a group car show at the Casa de Rosa Assisted Living facility on Saturday, June 23rd, to help celebrate Family and Friends Day. This single-story complex is located in Albuquerque’s North Valley on the east side of the river.
Three Model T’s were on display at the show, including Kirk Peterson’s “Buster” a 1925 coupe, Mark Dominguez’s 1927 touring car, and Mark and Susan Wing’s late 1924 coupe. There were a wide-range of cars at the show, from our T’s (the oldest cars there), to muscle cars, military vehicles, and a 1972 Maserati powered Citroen.
Casa de Rosa provided a nice lunch of hot dogs and hamburgers which we enjoyed under the shade of the trees on this very hot summer’s day. It was a very enjoyable show in a beautiful setting that even included a barn with goats and pigs!
Thank you to Inta Wood (Executive Director) and the other team members at Casa de Rosa Assisted Living!
