On this final day of 2013, the Tin Lizzies met for a New Year’s celebration and as a tribute to our recently departed club president Dean Van Doren.  Linda Riel organized this potluck party at Larry and Lorna Azevedo’s barn and the festivities included a moment of silence in honor of Dean and other friends and relatives who had passed during 2013.

Visiting from us from Apache Junction Arizona was Joe Fellin.  Joe is a former MTFCA President, and a major contributor to Model T restoration literature.  Joe’s 10 articles for the Vintage Ford (2009 and 2010), chronicle the restoration of his centerdoor sedan.  Joe, a retired engineer, is an excellent writer and photographer and his series of articles are meticulously crafted!  He was in town to stage a high-resolution and wide-format photograph for an upcoming cover for the Vintage Ford.

Our thanks go out to Linda for organizing this event, to the Azevedos who graciously provided the venue for the party (and some very spicy and savory Cajun pasta “Big Manou”), and to all the members who brought delicious treats to share.
