Breakfast at the 66 Diner (March 8th, 2014)

Bob and Robbi Ross were the hosts of this Tin Lizzies breakfast on Saturday, March 8th.  They choose the 66 Diner on Albuquerque’s Central Ave.  As they advertise on their website: “50’s style Diner on Historic Route 66. Features Burgers, Blue Plate Specials and Albuquerque’s Best Milkshakes. Our (66 Diner’s) much photographed, internationally known restaurant is a hit with locals and tourists alike. Blue plate specials, a full soda fountain, burgers, sandwiches, salads, and a swingin’ jukebox, you’re sure to “get your kicks” at the 66 Diner.”

The turnout was terrific with 39 club members in attendance!  As it was still cold this time of year, and there was a work party to follow later, only three members drove their cars that morning.  These brave souls were Don Souther and his1924 Model ‘T Tudor (driven by Vernon Armstrong), Russell Dilts driving his 1923 coupe, and Don Mitchell driving his maroon 1927 Model T tudor.  There were no open cars driven this morning!

The breakfast was delicious and very reasonably priced!  Our thanks to Bob and Robbi for organizing this breakfast.  Everyone had a grand time!
