Valencia High School (May 4, 2022)

Story and Pictures by Paul Duncan

Dave and Paul went shopping at Larry’s and found quit a few useful items in the “freebee” shelves. Don Neidigk brought over some very fine coils which will need to have two capacitors replaced and he provide them.  Larry had running boards, hood shelfs, radiator rod and a right front fender and , a steering shaft.  In the free club stuff, we found a very useable Holly NH carburetor with new gaskets, and an exhaust pipe with muffler. Dave contributed a 1926-27 cowl gas tank.  Paul contributed a radiator mounting kit, fan shaft bearing, fan, and block to radiator water return with eccentric mounting for fan.

We had a wonderful contingent of students and in just over 4 hours we got the rear wheels mounted, the exhaust pipe and muffler mounted, the generator gear pinned, the radiator mounts placed, the steering column cleaned and ready for mounting and the wishbone attached. School is out next week and we will plan to continue in June when the summer session starts.
