Minutes for the Tin Lizzies of Albuquerque General Meeting
Held at The Vineyard’s clubhouse on May 25, 2023
Call to Order:
President Mark Dominguez called the meeting to order at 6:32 p.m.
Pledge:
President Mark Dominguez led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Welcome:
President Mark Dominguez welcomed everyone to the meeting. We did not have any guests or new members. 20 Members were present and four on Zoom (Cameron, Kirk, Larry, Fran,) quorum met. No new members present.

Approval of minutes: The minutes of the April 23, 2023, meeting minutes are approved as published. Per THE MODEL T FORD CLUB OF AMERICA – OPERATIONS MANUAL – 2020.
Officers’ reports:
Vice President Report– Vaughn Rockafellow presented this month’s raffle items.
Raffle items were:
- 1. 50/50 raffle tickets
Secretary’s Report- Jessica Lance Jessica reported we have one new membership- Mike and Carol Reed. No correspondence to report.
Treasure’s Report– Kirk Peterson reported the following: balance report at the previous meeting, a list and explanation of receipts/expenses and the current balance including $15 for a new membership.
Committee reports.
Car Council- Steve Kranz reported that NMCCC SPONSORED EVENTS FOR 2023 :
May 21, 2023– Albuquerque Museum Car Show, was a hit. $10 day of entry fee. 297 entries and many clubs came out.
Elections will be held June.
July 8, 2023– Collector Car Appreciation Day cruise and ice cream to follow.
August 13, 2023– Car Council Picnic
September 24, 2023– Fall Car Show and Cruise
The Cadillac La Salle club is having a show 6/24 at the Marriott Pyramid.
E-Mail– Jessica Lance: We currently have no bounce back emails. We encourage sending announcement to the tin lizzie email address for club distribution for any upcoming event or general news we can use.
Telephone – Linda Riel reported we have three members receiving reminder phone calls. If you want to be added let her know
T n Vittles- Linda Riel reported we have breakfast June 3rd at the Vineyard. Openings in July, August, September, November.
Meeting Refreshments– Linda Riel reported openings in May & Oct.
Newsletter- Paul & Marilyn Duncan. The Duncan’s deadline will be June 6th and Don has written a lovely story about May’s TnVittles.
Website- Sharon Dominguez, requested members to please send photos of your car. Send in your article for the website. Host of a T n Vittles and event story and pictures. Listed all items on the website: newsletter, calendar, waiting on the TnVittles article. Needs Dave F for April Tn Vittles, Posted minutes from April, & hat and tea event. Calendar section is not functioning.
Hospitality- Fran Gurule reported she sent get well cards to: Bob H, and Rick Schritter “thinking of you”|.
Librarian– Mark Dominguez Let me know if you need any materials via text, phone, or email.
Quartermaster– Larry Azevedo reported club parts that are owed are:
cam shaft, brake pedal support, crank gear, 23 in tire flap
Historian- Marilyn Duncan had nothing new to report.
Meeting Refreshments provided by our mid-meeting snack, Sharron and Rita Loy and the Willians.
Old business
T n Vittles– On May 13th at Cazuela’s in Rio Rancho with 12 people and 2 T’s Hosted by Don Neidigk
Work party Please visit the website to see the progress on various Tin Lizzie vehicles.
Telephone Truck update- Phil Lance. It’s been delivered with an eventful trip. Mark D sent the title to the MTFCA.
Valencia High School– Paul Duncan nothing to report.
New Business:
Upcoming Events:
- • No Work Party being planned. The garage will be used for the Montana 500 car preparation.
- • Homecoming at the Model T Museum, May 31-June 3 in Richmond, IN
- • T n Vittles June 3rd, at the Vineyard rides starting at 8 am and breakfast to start at 9 am.
- • Corrales Tractor and Car Show June 3, 2023, 9:00 to 4:00 pm, Recreation Center Front Soccer Fields
- • June 17, 2023, from 9:00 to 3:00pm, Car Show at Sagebrush Church on Coors and La Orillia Rd NW
- • June 18-21, Montana 500 in Fort Benton, Montana. Larry, Kirk, and Dave will attempt to each take their cars for the race in Montana.
- • June 18-23, MTFCA 2023 National Tour Manhattan, Kansas
- • 4th of July Parade- Lorna & Larry, more info to come.
- • Sept 10th State Fair. More information to come.
- • Fall Tour Sept 20th -24 Durango coordinators: Dominguez, Peterson , Azevedo and Andy Andrews, Spring Hill Suites offered $179 for a king suite, per night.
Email will be sent out after meeting regarding booking a room.
Announcements:
- • Next month refreshments: Jessica, Danielle and Philip Lance
- • June 3rd Breakfast, rides at 8 am and breakfast at 9 am. Residents are looking forward to riding in the cars.
Raffle item Winners:
1 Steve Kranz won $9.50, and donated the winnings back to the club.
Raffle brought in $18
Presentation by Tim O’Brien. Program was about using the product called Lock n stitch , that specializes in all aspects of the Repair of cracked and damaged cast iron and other cast metals.
Next Tin Lizzie Meeting June 22nd at 6:30 p.m.
