Story and Photos by Paul Duncan
There were six Tin Lizzie Model T’s and one non-member T shown at the 38th Annual New Mexico Council of Car Clubs Albuquerque Museum Car Show. The theme this year was: Celebrating “The Roaring 20’s”-1920-1929. Lorna Azevedo drove her 1915 White Speedster and Fran Gurule rode with her. Larry Azevedo drove his 1924 Coupe-Montana 500 mile racer. Dave Ferro drove his 1924 Touring-also a Montana 500 racer. Steve Langdon and his fiance Cindy came in Steve’s 1926 Coupe. Steve commented that it has been 50 years since he and his father Larry restored it. Larry Langdon is a past president of the Tin Lizzies. Larry Jones long time T owner who lives in the East Mountains brought his 1918 Roadster. Paul and Marilyn Duncan came in their 1927 Model TD Roadster Pickup. Mark and Susan Wing came in their 1924 Touring T. Our Socorro contingent in the Tin Lizzies drove up to enjoy the show. Frank and Susan Lewark, John and Carol Burnett and Leonard and Johnel Scarborough had breakfast in Socorro and came to Albuquerque to join in on the car show festivities. Paul Beck showed up as well and this year he did not bring his 1918 TT truck. All in all, 17 Tin Lizzie members were at the car show.
