Story and Pictures by Sharon Dominguez
The June T ‘n Vittles were hosted by Betty Housholder at The Vineyard clubhouse. Betty was waiting in the parking lot to greet us as we arrived between 8:30 and 9 am. We had a total of 13 Tin Lizzies there with a total of 4 Model T’s.
Breakfast didn’t start until 9am, so there were several folks looking at the cars before we all went in to eat. A hearty “all you care to eat” breakfast of pancakes, bacon, sausage along with a selection of juices or coffee was on the menu for today.
After breakfast, many of the Vineyard residents came out to look at the cars, along with kicking the tires, telling stories and getting rides.
The weather was perfect with the sun shining and temps not too warm yet. Around 10 am everyone had their fill of rides, and we were onto our next adventure of the day – showing the cars at Sandia Ridge Nursing Home. No rides were given, but many of the residents came out to look at the cars and remember days gone by.
Thank you, Betty, for arranging breakfast again this year.
