Story by Larry Azevedo; Pictures by Paul Duncan
Our workday on 11/2 was a busy one. We had about 15 people show up! It was good to see Tom Miles. Ken Carpenter came by and returned some antifreeze he had used.
John Gibbs removed Andy’s generator for testing; Paul and Marilyn were there taking pictures and helped Frank with some of the inventory he was interested in; Frank and Leonard came up from Socorro and we did some transmission reviews; Angel Pina (our new member) and his son Lucien came, and Angel worked on Paul Musgrave’s carburetor issues. Lucien got his first Model T driving lesson.
Kirk and Dave worked on Kirk’s transmission; Tim and Neil came with the 14 touring which had ignition issues. Ven Willan drove his 38 Pickup to the workday and brought a NH carb for Larry to test on the Combustion and Dyno System. He also brought 4 starters and 2 generators and starter switches to donate to the club! Paul Musgrave had his Tudor sedan (recently purchased from Don Mitchell) there and we had to replace the carburetor and built a carb and choke linkage system. The 14 touring needed a replacement ignition coil. By the end of the day both cars successfully drove themselves on their respective trailers!
