It was that time once again. On February 8, 2025, the Tin Lizzies held our monthly Breakfast Get-Together, this time at Denny’s restaurant at I-25 and San Antonio NE. It was a beautiful day outside but the 20 or so of us were ready to eat so we moved inside to share a meal and some great conversation.
Pretty much everyone knows about the current nationwide egg shortage but fortunately, we were in luck. The NM poultry population came through with flying colors and laid enough eggs to fulfill everyone’s breakfast desires for sunny-side-ups, omelets, and such. And, not to leave anyone out, Denny’s staff was also ready to serve our few contrarians who felt the need for a burger and fries rather than standard breakfast fare. In either case, fine service it was and an excellent meal!
Everyone really seemed to enjoy themselves. Conversation was brisk and stimulating along the full length of the table. People took the opportunity to catch up with friends, talk about their Model Ts, recall happy memories of past members and club events, and discuss the coming Ruidoso trip just to name a few of the topics of conversation heard along the table.
After the meal, folks headed outside. But before departing a number of us stopped in the parking lot to look over and admire the Model T fire engine, driven by Tim O’Brien, and Model T Depot Hack, driven by Dave Ferro, that beautifully announced our club’s presence at the restaurant.
If you haven’t attended any of the monthly breakfasts, you’re missing out on a good time and excellent camaraderie. Please know that you’re always invited to join us.
