Proposed 2025 Budget (Marilyn Duncan)

Proposed 2025 Budget is same as 2024 with an additional $250 for the small parts inventory. 2024 Budget:  $2,812 (included $250 donation to Roadrunner Food Bank)  See Attachment 1 Proposed 2025 Budget (Revised)   Sharon Dominguez moved for approval of proposed 2025 budget.  Second by Larry Azevedo.  There being no further discussion, motion passed unanimously.

Fall Tour (Mark Wing):

Discussion of club returning to Ruidoso for 2025 Fall tour, as initially planned before last year’s wildfire.  Could make use of planning completed by Southwest Model As for cancelled 2024 tour to the village.  Ray Gabaldon volunteered to organize tour and shared copies of tour publication prepared by the Model A group.    Proposed tour dates:  September 10th -13th (Wed. –  Sat.) with return on Sun. 14th.  Concern: possible conflict with State Fair car show.  Mark Dominguez will seek confirmation of reported September 7th car show date.  Proposed tour hotel: MCM Elegante Lodge and Resort, 107 Sierra Blanca Dr., Ruidoso, NM 88345 (Rates:  $149 for Double Queens and $169 for Kings)  Ray will arrange for a block of 20 rooms once State Fair car show date confirmed.  Ray and John Gibbs indicated possibility of several Model A’s joining the tour.

2026 – 100- year Anniversary of Route 66 (Mark Wing):

Paul Duncan notes NM participation being coordinated by NM Dept of Tourism. Everything preliminary at this point but there may be an opportunity for our club to be involved.  Ray Gabaldon indicates Pocos Quatros Model A club is researching ways to be involved

Potential by-laws changes (Mark Wing):

Only a general cleanup – no major changes (i.e., correct typographical errors, move dues out of by-laws to make changes easier, remove references to dues for founding members- none of whom survive). Discussion of possible need to increase dues if donations from Ford dealers are lost.  Larry Azevedo noted there is no current financial problem, and that there are alternatives to increasing dues, i.e., ending  club subsidy of holiday dinner.  He worries that increasing dues will chase some people away. Paul and Marilyn Duncan will develop and present recommendations for changes
