Tn’Vittles at the Saucy Italian Bistro – Sat. (May 10, 2014)

Neil and Mary Ann O’Brien were our hosts for this Tn’Vittles breakfast and they choose the “Saucy Italian Bistro”.   This restaurant recently opened in Albuquerque’s northeast section of town (intersection of Juan Tabo and Candelaria).  It has distinguished itself with well-prepared Northern Italian lunches and dinners, but few knew that it also served brunches beginning at 9:00am.  Eight Model T’s showed up this day with 29 club members and guests including Stan and Janice’s granddaughter and a friend riding in the Gauna’s 1917 depot hack.

The club was given it’s own dining room and the menu included delcious fare such as Eggs Benedict (poached eggs on an English muffin with ham and hollandaise sauce), Omelet Alla Marinara (a three egg omelet with mozzarella and topped with marinara sauce, and Tostata Francese (French toast, made with Italian bread).  Everyone enjoyed the breakfast and it was a good opportunity to chat about our recent tour to Tucumcari, NM.

Thank you Neil and Mary Ann!
