This Tn’Vittles breakfast at the Daily Grind in Albuquerque was hosted by Russell and Julie Dilts. It was a milestone event as Russell and Julie, long-time members of the Tin Lizzies, are relocating to New Orleans. The breakfast was very well attended with 34 club members and guests and 6 club cars. Driving their T’s this morning were Russell and Julie in their 1926 touring car; Bob and Robbi Ross in their 1926 roadster; Steve Suttle in his 1925 coupe; Mark and Sharon in their 1927 touring; Linda and Jeff in Linda’s 1926 Fordor; Don, Vernon, JoAn, Cathy, and Shylah in Don’s 1924 Tudor, and Ann and Dave Merewether in their 1918 roadster pickup.
In addition to our regular breakfast attendees, were were also joined by Vernon Armstrong’s mother JoAn, his sister Kathleen, and Kathleen’s granddaughter Shylah whose mother is serving in the armed forces in the middle east. We hope to see them all at future club events.
As a goodbye memento, Larry presented Russell and Julie with a CD of documentation from our recent tour to Tucumcari, NM.
The Tin Lizzies will miss Russell and Julie very much – things won’t be the same without them. We can take solace in that with their daughters and only grandchild live in Albuquerque – so they’re sure to be visiting frequently!
Best wishes to Russell and Julie on their new life in the “Big Easy”!
