Hogs heads have been figuring prominently at Larry’s work parties lately. Larry had perfected his hogs head boring technique as well as using oil seals and O-rings to prevent future leakage. With few exceptions, it seems that all Model T’s have worn pedal shafts and while there are so many engines being rebuilt right now, it’s a prime opportunity to take care of this often overlooked problem.
Among the hogs head tasks were to install new Oilite bushing for Mark’s coupe as well as boring the pedal shaft holes in Art’s 1926 hogs head.
Dave Ferro was busy enlarging the valve stem holes on his 1918 engine block. He was milling out the holes and later using a reamer for finishing.
Dave Merewether was rebuilding an NH carburetor for his Centerdoor project.
Paul brought his 1920 touring car to grease a front wheel bearing. Upon removal, Paul realized that the bearing was still well lubricated.
Thank you Larry for a productive and enjoyable work party!
