Friday was the first Enchanted Loop touring day with a route of 85 miles.  It started with a breakfast in the lodge kitchen followed by a short driver’s meeting by Larry Azevedo.  This tour was organized so drivers could leave within a 45 minute time window.  The only hard deadline was 8:45 AM when Larry would be leaving Red River with the trouble truck.  Today’s tour would be a counter-clockwise loop from Red River westward to Questa, from Questa southward to Taos (lunch and shopping), from Taos eastward to Angel Fire (visit to the Vietnam War Memorial), northward to Eagles Nest, then from Eagles Nest (via the challenging Bobcat pass with a 6.8% grade) back to Red River.

Once back at Red River, tour members were free to make their own choices for dinner.
