Story and photos by Mark Wing
Betty Housholder invited the Tin Lizzies to breakfast at the Vineyard Retirement Community on Edith Blvd. This is an annual tradition with the Vineyard residents serving pancakes, bacon, sausage, fruit, and beverages for a nominal fee. Four Model T’s were driven to the event: the Duncan’s drove their 1920 Model T touring car, Steve Suttle came in his sharp 1925 coupe, the Wing’s had their late 1924 coupe, and Betty made the short drive (she’s a resident of the Vineyard) in her 1921 Model T coupe. After the breakfast, rides were provided to Vineyard residents and guests. Everyone enjoyed the breakfast and the rides!
Dave and Ann Merewether left their 1917 Model T pickup at home and instead, drove their beautiful British Racing Green 1955 Jaguar Drophead Coupe! It was a delight to see such a beautiful classic car that morning.
Thank you Betty for organizing this event!
