Story and photos by Mark Wing
Phil and Jessica Lance were the hosts of this month’s Tin Lizzies of Albuquerque Tn’Vittles breakfast. In these COVID-19 times, they were looking for a venue with covered outdoor seating as in-door dining in New Mexico is currently restricted to 25% occupancy. They chose Garcia’s Kitchen at the intersection of Comanche and Montgomery Blvd. in the northeast section of Albuquerque. This location is one of the seven Garcia’s Kitchens in the city. Among the specialties of this 40-plus year old family business are: handmade tortillas, biscochitos, carne adovada, menudo, salsa, and red and green chile sauces.
There were 5 Model Ts at the breakfast and 24 club members and guests. Of special note were Jessalynn and Danielle Lance (daughters of our hosts Phil and Jessica) who brought their friends Kevin and Lewis. Also present was Justin Wing (elder son of Mark and Susan) and girlfriend Candice Carpenter who were visiting from Scottsdale, AZ. It was great to see some new faces at the breakfast and we hope to see them at some of our future events.
Thank you Phil and Jessica for hosting this breakfast!
