Car Show at Power Ford (Sept. 6, 2021)

Story and photos by Mark Wing (unless otherwise specified)

Our Club President, Paul Duncan, coordinated the Tin Lizzies of Albuquerque’s participation in this year’s annual Labor Day car show at Power Ford in Albuquerque. There were hundreds of cars on display on this Monday, from our Model T’s to T-Birds, Mustangs, Chevys, Low Riders, and even historical military vehicles.

Our club participants included Paul Beck, with his 1918 Model T truck; Don Mitchell who brought his 1927 Tudor; Dave Ferro with his 1918 depot hack; Paul and Marilyn Duncan, who drove their 1927 pickup truck; Mark Wing who brought his 1925 touring car; and Les Mathson. The day was in the low 90’s, so we talked with interested visitors and also enjoyed the shade of the club’s portable awning. The gates to the dealership opened at 7:30 and we departed around 1:30. It was an enjoyable show and an opportunity to socialize with a wide-range of fellow car collectors.

Thank you Power Ford for inviting us to the event and for providing the drinks and hotdogs!
