On Saturday, March 15th, the Tin Lizzies of Albuquerque were invited by Dennis Snyder, President of Rich Ford, to show our club’s cars at their Albuquerque dealership as part of their 53rd anniversary celebration. Fourteen cars showed up on this cold and blustery day, including Skip Dunn, who trailered his 1914 touring car from Los Alamos. We were also joined by Jeff, friend and neighbor of Vernon Armstrong; Cole, Larry and Lorna’s grandson visiting from Missouri; Cameron, Kirk and Susan Peterson’s son; and Kassi Carpenter who brought a friend with her.
Our cars were located on the north side (rear) of the dealership this year as Rich Ford was using the space where we customarily show our cars for “drifting” demonstrations and rides by Jim Guthrie, former Indy Race car driver and owner of Car Crafters in Albuquerque, as well as Jim’s son Sean. Several Tin Lizzie members got the thrill of riding in these super powerful race cars including Betty, Linda, Vernon, Jeff, Larry and Cole. Everyone reported back that it was a blast!
Thank you Linda for organizing this enjoyable event. Let’s hope for better weather next year!
