Car Show with Model A Club (June 20, 2015)

On Saturday, June 20th, the Tin Lizzies were invited to join the Pocos Quatros (Little Fours), the local Model A club, for a breakfast and car show.  The venue was on Rio Grande Blvd., next to the Grower’s Market and community tennis courts.  The Model A club members had a very nice spread of breakfast food including pancakes, scrambled eggs, hash browns, bacon, sausage, yogurt, tortillas, and beverages.  The breakfast was delicious!

Attendees included Mark and Sharon Dominguez (1927 touring car), Mike and Betty Householder (1925 pickup), Bill and Donna Hansen (1924 touring), Paul and Marilyn Duncan (1920 touring), Mark and Susan Wing (1924 coupe), Lorna Azevedo and Holly Rochford (1915 speedster), Larry Azevedo and Dan Rochford (1921 speedster), and Dave Ferro (1918 depot hack).

This was a milestone event as it was the first time that new member Dan Rochford got a chance to drive Larry’s latest addition to his collection, the “Gilmore speedster” that he recently purchased from Northern California.  We hear the drive was a great success and we’re all waiting to see what kind of Model T that Dan and Holly eventually acquire.

Thank you to our hosts for the outstanding breakfast – the excellent local Model A club, the Pocos Quatros!
