Corrales Starlight Parade and Party (Dec. 1, 2018)

Story and photos by Mark Wing

On Saturday, December 1, the Tin Lizzies participated in the annual Corrales Starlight Parade.  Larry and Lorna Azevedo, who live in the Village of Corrales, organize this event every year that begins with a rendezvous at their home in the late afternoon to decorate our cars.  At 5PM, it was time to drive over to the staging area and wait for the parade down Corrales Road to begin.  This year, five cars participated in the parade including Larry and Luke in Larry’s 1923 Model T truck, Kirk and Susan Peterson in their 1925 coupe, Zack Lance and Alexis in a 1926 roadster, Dave Ferro driving his 1918 depot hack (with passengers Mark & Susan Wing, and Vaughn Rockafellow), and Mark and Sharon Dominguez in their 1927 touring car.  Our T’s made their way slowly down Corrales Road with members waving and offering holiday greetings the the crowds – especially the children!

After the parade, it was back to Larry and Lorna’s house for a potluck meal in their barn.  The food was great and everyone had a wonderful time.

Thank you to Larry and Lorna for organizing this annual event!
