Tin Lizzie Meeting Minutes
March 27,2025

 

Meeting called to order 6:30pm

 

Pledge of Allegiance

 

Welcome Scott Stuart (first meeting ever attended).

 

New members: Tyler Johnson present at meeting and signed up as new member. Potential new member Jay Skolnik not present at meeting but has attended a work day at Larry Azevedo’s.

 

Meeting minutes approved as corrected. The corrections are:
     Corrected spelling of Sharron Geilenfeldt name. Corrected to show Paul Carpenter is father of Ken Carpenter.

Vice President (Paul Duncan) Nothing to report.

 

Secretary’s Report (Fran Gurule substituting for Dave Ferro) Thank you card received from Ann Merewether.

 

Treasurer’s Report (Marilyn Duncan) Paid rent and received income from raffle, dues, and Rich Ford. MTFCA free membership will go to new member. Marilyn will make a list of members that meet criteria and name will be drawn. Tin Lizzie member memorials left out of Vintage Ford will be corrected.

 

President’s Report (Mark Wing) Reported on Duncan, OK. swap meet. Larry Azevedo, Dave Ferro, Kirk Peterson & Mark Wing attended. Dario Ibarra invited Tin Lizzies to Flamenco event. Mark & Susan Wing attended. Dario will try to give more notice in the future.

 

Car Council (Sharron Geilenfeldt) Car show Grants NM. See flyer. Albuquerque Museum Car show May 18. See flyer.

Telephone (Linda Riel) Still calling. Let Linda know if you want on or off the call list.

 

Meeting Refreshments and T ‘n Vittles (Linda Riel) Still have openings. Will use previous supplies when needed. Next T ‘n Vittles will be April 12 at Garcia’s Kitchen. March 8th breakfast at Mustang Cafe had 14 members and 10 cars.

 

Rich Ford Car Show (Linda Riel) Two each 1925 cars in Showroom. Eight cars outside. 21 members and 1 guest attended.

 

Newsletter (Paul & Marilyn Duncan) Out first week of April.

 

Valencia HS Program (Paul Duncan) Students will come April 3. Need volunteers to work with students.

 

Sandia HS Great Gatsby Day (John Gibbs) Two model T’s. Mark and Susan’s 1925 touring and Paul Beck’s TT truck. Kids dressed in period clothing & were given rides.

 

Historian (Marilyn Duncan) First Las Vegas tour magazine available.

 

Website (Sharon Dominguez) All up to date.

 

Hospitality (Fran Gurule) No cards sent this month.

 

Librarian (Mark Dominguez) All library materials ready to be checked out. Library materials will be temporarily stored by Mark Wing.

 

Quartermaster (Larry Azevedo) Everything accounted for.

 

Work Party (Larry Azevedo) next work party April 15.

 

Fall Tour (John Gibbs). September 10-13 does not interfere with the state fair. 20 rooms have been reserved at MCM Elegante in
Ruidoso. Model A’s may also tour the same days. The rate for the hotel may be lower with more people/cars.

 

Upcoming Events (Mark Wing)
     Grants Tour (Vaughn Rockafellow & Dave Ferro) Tentatively May 15-18. Still checking on Hotels and points of interest.
     Running 500 event turned down because it is at night.
     Montana 500 June 15-18. Larry Azevedo, Cole Wedekind, Kirk Peterson and Dave Ferro getting ready for the race.

 

Raffle held

 

Program Paul Duncan showed restoration of 1918 pickup.
