T ‘n Vittles at The Vineyard (Jun. 3, 2023)

Story and Photos by Paul Duncan and Sharon Dominguez

The June T ‘n Vittles was hosted by Betty Householder at The Vineyard clubhouse.  Betty greeted us with great enthusiasm at 8AM. The weather was perfect with bright sunshine and temperature in the mid 60’s.

Betty gathered residents who wanted to take a Model T ride or just kick the tires and tell stories about their memories of Model T’s.

Jill Ross and her husband Bill both signed up for Model T rides.  Jill’s fathers owned an auto paint and body shop in New York state where she grew up. She wanted a ride in all three Tin Lizzie “olde cars”. Bill rode with Vern and Mark.

Mark and Sharon Dominguez brought their 1925 Tudor, Vern Willan came in his Model A speedster and Paul Duncan brought his 1927 Roadster Pick-up. The Vineyard administrator Eileen Mitchell Rode in the T Pickup. She and her husband Bob owned a machine shop here in Albuquerque and she was familiar with the Model T engine.

We all enjoyed the breakfast pancakes and sausage. We told Eileen how much we all appreciate having our Tin Lizzie meetings at the Vineyard.  By 9:30 am we were all off to other adventures for the day.
