Stan and Janice Gauna were the hosts of the monthly Tin Lizzie breakfast on November 8th. They chose Monroe’s, a restaurant on Osuna Road in the northeast part of Albuquerque. Monroe’s, in spite of it’s name, is well known and popular for its Mexican food. Few people knew it also served breakfast!
Thirty-four Tin Lizzie members and guests gathered at 9:00 this morning. Special guests included Bruce Daniel’s nephew, Liz Scott’s niece (also named Liz), and Joe Fellin (former MTFCA President, and recent Rosenthal award winner) who was visiting from Apache Junction, AZ.
Driving their Model Ts were the O’Briens in their 1916 touring car, Steve Suttle in his 1925 coupe, Don Souther and Vernon Armstrong arrived in Don’s 1924 Tudor, the Gauna’s in their 1917 fruit wagon, and Don Mitchell drove his 1927 Tudor.
The food was great and Monroe’s had a spacious dining area set aside for us. It was a very enjoyable breakfast. Thank you Stan and Janice!
