Prior to the annual car show at Rich Ford Edgewood, a breakfast was held at Mark and Susan Wing’s house in the Albuquerque foothills. There were 15 attendees, with the the Wing’s 1925 touring car, Don Mitchell’s 1927 Tudor, the Duncan’s 1927 pickup truck, and Paul Beck’s 1918 Model T truck present. Joining a Tin Lizzie event for the first time was Larry Jones, who owns a Rajo overhead valve 1918 runabout. Larry lives in the east mountain area, so he chose to drive his very fast Model A roadster to the breakfast.
The breakfast started at 7:30 AM and the club members that were participating in the Rich Ford Edgewood car show were due to meet at a rendezvous point at the nearby mouth of Tijeras Canyon at 9:00. Club members were able to have a leisurely breakfast of burritos, ham, biscuits, homemade jams, fruit salad, watermelon, and muffins! Thank you to Susan Wing for hosting the breakfast and to Sharon Dominguez and Sharron Geilenfeldt for contributing the muffins and watermelon!
