We had prepared to pull Andy’s engine thinking that there was an internal issue with his car. The engine had been knocking when it last ran. On Friday (Oct. 7) we took a look at the coils and timer, and discovered that the coils were really performing poorly and the timer needed addressing. By the work day on Saturday we had concluded that the issue was timing and it was unnecessary to pull the engine. Thanks to all those who showed up including Mark Wing, Dave Ferro, Frank Lewark, Leonard Scarborough, Neil O’Brien, Vaughn Rockafellow, and Andy Andrews (apologies if I missed someone!). Mark Wing removed the Bendix cover and reinstalled it solving a major oil leak and we tuned up some replacement coils that Andy brought with him and got the car running good. He was able to take it home the next day.
