A “T” Tip

from your MTFCA Vice President… Tom Miles

From Your Vice-Pres..... Hey guys and gals, this year one of the MTFCA Board goals is to increase membership. I would like to attack the problem from a different angle. How about a challenge to all the chapters to in addition to driving your T’s, how about each chapter taking on the goal of getting 1 unrestored T on the road and licensed by Dec. 30th of this year.  It doesn’t have to be fully restored with paint etc., but must be in safe drivable condition and be licensed. The goal is not how many T’s can be restored and put on the road by any single chapter, but what percentage of our total chapters rose up to the challenge. Chapter participation is what we are looking for. This increase in T’s on the road will ultimately increase Model T Ownerships as they are sold off, and hopefully will increase MTFCA Model T memberships. I encourage each chapter to cull your membership for that unrestored car or even better if you know a non Chapter member who has a T in parts and has lost that spark for restoring. Plan Saturday morning restoration parties to get that T up and running and hopefully gain a member. Now that the nice weather is here let’s all try to bring back another T to join our ranks. Take lots of pictures as well as video. E-mail me at fordt27@aol.com of your progress, and the key document is the chapter sending in a copy of the registration between now and Dec. 30th to the MTFCA headquarters or to me at 7112 Marilyn Ave. NE, Albuquerque NM 87109 and I will report our progress in the “Happenings” as well as the “Vintage Ford”. There are lots of undiscovered T’s out there.

Let’s do it!

Fordson Tractor

The Tin Lizzies of Albuquerque restored and donated a Fordson tractor for the MTFCA Museum. This was great club project that turned into a huge group effort by the club.
