Kirk Peterson and His 1927 Touring Featured on Publication Cover

Kirk and Susan Peterson's 1927 touring car are the featured image on the cover of the latest version of the Public Employees Retirement Association of New Mexico (PERA) annual financial report.  Both Kirk and Susan are retired employees of the State of New Mexico and members of PERA.

Sandra Vreeland, co-owner of Array Design Studio, Santa Fe is a graphic designer and she contacted Kirk about using his car for the PERA cover.  Sandra suggested that a wonderful setting for the photograph would be near the intersection of the Old Las Vegas Highway and El Gancho Way (near Harry's Roadhouse) in Santa Fe.  The photo shoot was arranged for mid-day December 10, 2010.

The final result is a memorable and timeless image.  With the exception of the highway striping and color, this photograph could have been taken in the 1920's or 30's.
