Work Party at the Azevedo's Garage

Larry and Lorna hosted a garage work party on Saturday August the 21st.  In attendance were Mike Housholder, Don Souther, Mark and Susan Wing, Tom and Cathy Miles, Kirk and Susan Peterson, and Neil and Mary Ann O'Brien.

Mike brought his sister's 1923 roadster pickup to fix a problem of poor braking and to change the oil.  Once on the lift, it was apparent that some bent parts on the Rocky Mountain brakes were the primary source of the defective braking.  After some blacksmith work and brake lining clearance adjustments, the brakes looked and operated great!

Kirk and Susan Peterson trailered their 1927 touring from Santa Fe to correct an intermittent ignition switch.  Kirk and Larry discovered that the problem wasn't the switch, but a defective connector to one of the switch contacts.  A new connector and the Peterson's were on the road again.

Work on the T's was punctuated by a relaxing lunch of sandwiches, burritos, a delicious desert on the Azevedo's veranda.  The repairs were completed just in time for the "Billy the Kid Tour" to Ruidoso scheduled for the following weekend.
