Tn'Vittles at Mick's Chile Fix
The first Tn'Vittles breakfast of the New Year was at
Mick's Chile Fix on Candelaria near Interstate 25. The event was hosted by Tin Lizzies Club President Dean
Van Doren and Linda Riel. Mick's is known for tasty New Mexican food at very reasonable prices served in
a no-frills setting. Mick's didn't dissapoint! The food was great and the Club turnout
very respectable with around two dozen members and guests present with five Model
T's. Making an appearance at a Club function for the first time was Dean's latest acquisition, a
1918 depot hack. The previous owner hadn't driven the car very much and it required some adjustments to
correct it's problems. With some cleaning and tweaking, Dean has the depot hack starting easily (by hand
crank) and running smoothly.
Steve Suttle brought along several vintage New Mexico license
plates for sale. The earliest was a 1917 plate. The sales were brisk and several members now have
matching license plates for their cars!
Thank you Dean and Linda for organizing this delicious and enjoyable event!
