After a long wait, it was our turn to go. There were throngs of spectators lining
Corrales Road, many of them children. As is usual for this parade, there were frequent and unexplicable
stops. The temperatures were very warm, in the 90's, so unfortunately a couple of the cars developed vapor
lock and had to sit out the rest of the parade. The crowd was delighted to see the T's and there was a lot of
honking, waving, and the occasional squirt from the kids squirt guns. In spite of the delays, the
parade was a lot of fun!

After the parade, everyone went back to Larry and Lorna's house for a fantastic picnic of
hamburgers, hot dogs, salads, beans, deserts, and cold drinks. In addition to the Tin Lizzies, many members
of the local V8 Club and Pocos Quatros (Little Fours), the local Model A club were in
attendance. Chatting under the cool shade of the cottonwood trees, or for the kids,
a refreshing dip in the pool was a perfect way to spend a 4th of July holiday!
