Tn'Vittles at Bailey's on the
Beach
The Tn'Vittles breakfast on Saturday, November 12th
was hosted by Russell and Julie Dilts at Bailey's on the Beach on Monte Vista in the trendy Nob Hill area of
Albuquerque. The restaurant is known for being a fun beach-themed eatery with good food, reasonable
prices, and a rooftop dining area. In fact, the rooftop has seating under beach umbrellas so diners
can see all the street activity at it's location near the University of New Mexico. The Bailey's staff
had set aside a dining room on the first floor for our club and everyone enjoyed a wide range of delicious
traditional and New Mexico inspired dishes.
This mid-November morning started out pretty chilly so
the eight Model T's driven that morning were all closed cars! Making an appearance for the first time to
a club event was Larry and Lorna's 1923 coupe that was formerly owned by Larry's parents in Northern
California. This car is in very original condition and still has it's factory cloth interior. The
coupe also has a dual set of Hassler shock absorbers and a period speedometer! It was overheating a bit
upon arrival, but luckily the ambient air temperature was quite cool. Twenty-one club members made it to the
breakfast that morning and had an opportunity to eat great food, visit, and enjoy the day.
Thank you to Russell and Julie for organizing this enjoyable
and tasty event!
