Tn'Vittles at Tim's Place
Bernice Young organized the October 15th Tin Lizzies breakfast at Tim's Place, located in
a shopping center at Wyoming Blvd and Academy Road in Albuquerque. Tim Harris is a local
celebrity and inspirational symbol of achievement for people born with Down Syndrome. Tim
attended Eastern New Mexico University and earned certificates in Food Service and in Office Skills. Tim and
the Harris family opened Tim's Place in May of 2010. The theme of Tim's place is "World's Friendliest
Restaurant" with Tim giving hugs to any patrons wishing one.
The Tin Lizzies had a fantastic
turn out of 35 Club members and friends. There were also 10 T's driven that morning. Tim got a chance
to ride in the Dominguez's 1927 touring and the Azevedo's 1921 Faultless Raceabout. From the smile on Tim's
face, he had great time seeing our old cars!
