After lunch there were two parallel presentation. One was another babbitting presentation by Larry Azevedo. The
other presentation was given by Mike Bender who gave a slide show of his group’s dynamometer test stand for Model T
engines. He presented some impressive data showing good repeatable results on a stock engine. They are now ready to
start testing their engine with various after market additions to measure the difference in horsepower and torque.
A lot of data analysis and error determination activities were necessary to get their very interesting results. In
addition, Mike discussed fixing crooked camshaft bearings and showed how to precisely align the transmission with
the flywheel.
Mike describing the development of his test engine and dynamometer setup.
Mike's presentation in the morning was very well attended!
Mike's screen was located under Larry's loft to reduce the light levels for the presentation.
